Tentang teknologi bercinta

Assalamualaikum....
Wahduh wahduh... Bersawang, berselut, berkerak, berdaki dah nin.. Kalaulah adinda kapitan i tak sound "assignment overdue" dekat fesbuk, dah tentu i kena hire excavator nak carik balik jalan menuju ke blog nih..
So anyway...
Kenapa tetiba kluar topik ni? I'm sitting in the room playing games on the pad pabila i terdengar Tom tgh ber-skyping dgn geprennya yg tinggal about 10 minutes drive from here.. Wow! Technology have certainly changed the way we communicate kan? Dedulu masa zaman i muda remaja (skrg ni still muda tp dah xberapa nak remaja dah ^^) medium komunikasi i adalah kertas, pen, sampul surat, stem dan abang posmen.. Tiap2 hari balik sekolah meluru ke posbox, kot-kot ada surat dari yg tersayang. Dulu i ada a few abang angkat, kami berkenalan thru Minda Pelajar - kalau ada yg ingat, ni mcm akhbar utk pelajar2 sekolah circa 1994-1996 dan ada gak pen pals dari Galaxy. Macam URTV tapi version omputih.. Tiap2 minggu kami berutus surat.., this particular guy dia budak bijak.. Belajo kat SMAP.. Dia form 5, aku form 3 so kiranya sama2 nak exam so konon2 sama2 bagi motivation la segala. Sending letters is the cheapest way to get in touch as inter-cities phone calls are notoriously expensive and masa tu mana ada student yg bawok henpon gi sekolah.. I used to purchase coloured writing papers, special stationaries yg ada design2 complete with matching envelopes. My mum used to be the postman, she'll take my letters and mail them when she goes to work.
Bila budak pandai ni abis sekolah dan menunggu result spm, kami pun mula berborak2 thru phone, tp tak selalu sbb rumah i takde phone masa tuh.. Kenala kumpul duit syiling nak bergayut dkt public phone.. Bila dia masuk uia, barula ayahanda i pakai henpon. Ericsson model lama yg kalau nak charge kena cabut bateri mcm charge kamera dslr skrg. So, turn dia pulak yg kumpul duit syiling nak bergayut dgn i..
Time goes on, i went to uni and we lost contacts.. I pun xtau dia kat mana skrg.. Masa dkt uni, dua bulan sekali i tulis surat hantar dekat bonda, seminggu sekali beli phonecard rm10 to call home untuk mengadu-domba. Masa ni internet dekat malaysia baru nak berkembang.. Maka bermulalah zaman chatting dekat mirc.. Masuk channel mamak la, kampung la, etc etc etc. cyber cafe mula tumbuh dekat kampus, masa ni i pakai pc dgn monitor gabak yg berat giloss tuh tp takbley akses internet, nak berinternet sila booking cyber cafe yg berdekatan.. Dan i pakai henpon motorola yg kalau emergency takde bateri buleh sumbat 4 bijik bateri AA didalamnya.. Dan bermulalah zaman bergayot dekat henpon sendirik pulak.. Bila dapat bopren yg takde henpon, kenala bopren tu tumpang henpon kawan2 dia kalau i nak bercerita dgnnya..
Masa i start kerja, teknologi sms mula berkembang.. Less talking but more texting. I pakai nokia 3315 masa tuh. Sgt kebal phone tu, jatuh tergolek2 tp dia tetap steady. Pahtu picture messaging became popular. Dlm sok-kabar penuh gambo2 dan ring tone yg kita buleh donlod dan anto kat kawan2. Mula2 black n white, pahtu gambo warna-warni., pahtu wujud pulak camera phone, buleh nganto mms segala..
Mula2 sampai bumi kanggaru, kawan2 i tgh giler berYM.. Yahoo messenger, manjang je i pi lepak lebry bukan utk study tp utk ym dgn kawan2.. Pahtu masuk friendster and later upgraded to facebook
And now... Komunikasi jadik sgt mudah.. Teknologi bercinta pun dah berubah. Ada whatsapps, viber, facebook, facetime, instagram, twitter, skype etc etc... Zaman menulis surat dan menunggu jawapan dah berlalu.., zaman kumpul duit syiling bergayut kat public phone dah berlalu.., zaman chatting online dah berlalu.., sekarang ni long distance relationship can prosper becos u'll be able to see each other even though u're far away from each other. Contohnya dalam kes Tom, sebelum dia keluar pergi party, both of them akan "tunjuk" baju masing2 on skype to make sure they match each other. Sebelum makan amik gambo (myself included, but i only post them on fb or ig) pahtu mms, whatsapps dekat yg tersayang.
Agak-agaknyala kan.. Macam mana lah anak2 i esok bercinta ye? Mesti ada mesin yg boleh beam people from one place to another kan? Or a telepathic machine yg bila tetiba kita teringat je kat orang tu, tiba2 je orang tu muncul depan kita.. Hmmmmm....
I think i watch too many sci-fi movies...

Tentang unlucky day

Assalamualaikum
Dah nak habis ramadhan baru nak bersuara? Pahtu tetiba bersuara secara live dari bumi kangaroo? Adoyai.. So much has happened since i last wrote but tonight i just need to get this out of my chest. I shall merapu about why, how, what, when did we arrive in bumi kangaroo at some other time ok?
Today the last day in the month of July 2013, bersamaan dgn 22 ramadhan 1434H adalah hari yg sgt menyedihkan..
Kisah 1
i received the news that our boy Joey has been adopted. JJ said that i should be prepared for today.. I tot i have.. I mean i said goodbye to him in Penang, gave him a big hug n kiss before we left and he had looked at me sadly, as if he knows that that will be the last time he'll ever see me..
I havent shed any tear since leaving malaysia just over two weeks ago, but receiving the news about joey released the waterworks. JJ said we have done the right thing, at least joey is in a good home not outside on the road being a stray facing a bleak future. At least joey will be safe, he shall have enough to eat., we pledged to send a big bag of kibbles to his carer every so often., and he will be loved.. And most importantly i will be able to see him whenever i go back to SP/penang..
Joey, u dont know how much it hurts your father and i to let you go.., mommy wished that our circumstances are different but maybe this is the best for you son.. Just know in your heart that we will always love you and to us, you're still our boy.. Till we meet you again.. We love you so much Joey 'Jojonut' Marurai..




Kisah 2
Went to dick smith to purchase an adapter for the ipad+ipod. The price was around $30.. Went to target and saw this big box of 15-piece ipod accessories for only $17 down from $69.99. Wow! This is a good bargain.. Sila rujuk pada gambar




Rugi woo kalau xbeli!! Tanya budak tu wall plug ni buleh charge ipad tak, dia kata boleh so sepantas kilat i grabbed this box. Sampai kat kaunter this item turn out to be only $13!! Yay! I snatched a bargain!! Sgt excited sampai rumah cuba nak charge ipad tapi nyewest!! Dia kata "not charging".. Adoyai hangin suda satu badan.. Takper takper.. Esok haku nak pi target tukar ambik adapter apple original pulak.. Deng!!
Kisah 3
3 hari yg lalu, travelling henbeg kesayangan i hampir nak putus talinya., kebetulan kejadian berlaku di depan op-shop (kedai juai brg2 terpakai - 2nd hand) maka terusla masuk dan terusla capai henbeg yg berharga $4. I beli sebab takut beg putus xdan sampai umah plus all my other handbags are in the ship., belum sampai lagi. Genap 3 hari usia bag 2nd-hand-baru i, tali dia snap! Putus!! Deng!!!




Pengajaran dari kisah 2 & 3
Sila jangan kedekut sangat.. Bila beli barang yg terlalu murah, mohon jangan expect too much from it!

Tentang mee segera

Assalamualaikum

Humang hai.. Bersawang berdebu lapan belas hinci dah blog nin.. Tak terjenguk malahan nak menjenguk blog-blog rakan-rakan cyber pun tak dan. Sangatlah sibuk mengalahkan superstar pulak i sekarang ni.. Kenapa sibuk? Kenapa tak dan? Akan diceritakan di masa2 akan datang. 

Malam ni nak buat food review pasal mee segera.. Adake org buat review pasal instant noodle ni? Macamkan takde benda lain nak direview pulak.. Eh, sukatilah.. 

Sapa tak pernah makan mee segera angkat jari?? Instant noodle used to be my staple diet masa kat universiti utan malaysia dulu especially bila time JPA belum masuk. Selalu bila dapat duit, akan beli stok megi yg boleh dimakan ketika sengkek. Pernah sekali megi tomyam 2 bungkus kami rebus kongsi makan 5 orang sebab masing2 tak cukup duit nak makan. Nak tepon rumah mintak duit malu dan takut.. Oh the good ol' days.. Nanti next time i citer pengalaman kat dlm utan dulu plak.

Now back to the actual story. Review arini adalah berdasarkan kepada mee brand yg kat bawah nin..

Mi Sedaap mi sup perisa soto..

Memang sedap. Memang jelas terasa sedapnya seperti kata tagline mee nih.. Dengan perasa limau menjadikan mi ni bertambah sedap. Tak muak. Sebab ada rasa masam2 sket. JJ tak bleh pi sebab dia kata the taste is very Malaysian.. Yelah.. Sebab tu he only eats megi perasa ayam.. Tak adventerous langsung laki i tau!

Anyway, rencah dia ada 4 pek

Bumbu gurih yg kena letak bila mi dah masak. The chilli, seasoning powder dengan minyak bumbu yg hujung kanan sekali. I think the limau is in the minyak bumbu sbb bila masukkan minyak tu bau dia semerbak kelimau-limauan gitu.. Sedap.. 

The noodle itself is not too fat and not too skinny. Masak pun tak payah lama2 sebab mi dia cepat lembut. Lama2 sgt kan kembang semangkok mi dia jadik tak best.

Meh kita tgk gambo yg dah masak

Yang macam brown sugar kat tgh2 tu is the bumbu gurih. I xtau apa function dia sbb tak rasa apa2 pun.. Perhaps lepas ni i shud try makan tanpa that bumbu pulak.

The instruction actually requires u to campur the minyak and rencah outside the pot n just rebus mi atas api then tuang into the bumbu tp i rasa mcm takut bumbu tu tak masak so i dump everything in while the mee is boiling on the stove. Result dia? Mee sedap yang memang sedap!!!

Tentang food review 1

Assalamualaikum
Wah.. Lama berehat ye? Sibuk berkempen kot... Hahahaha... Mana ada.. Sibuk mende ntah..
Anyways.. I've always wanted to write about food since me and JJ enjoys eating (who doesnt kan?). Lepas tu pulak habit i adalah mengambik gambo makanan sebelum memakan thus annoying JJ as he wants to say the doa and makan ASAP.. Tapi sebagai suami mithali dia layan la jugak pe'el isteri dia yg tah pape nih..

So for my food review edisi pertama ni i nak share pasal Meatworks.. One of our fav hang out kalau balik KL. The one we usually frequented is its Citta Mall, Ara Damansara outlet (sbb sgt dekat dgn istana hinggap di KJ)..

Kedai ni konsep dia restaurant + butcher. The meat are imported from Australia and they also sell the locally produced Gemas Gold beef. We often buy our meat stock there sebab di SP ni mana nak dapat rump, rib eye segala so kalau balik KL kami akan borong daging dari Meatworks. Alang2 dah borong daging harusla makan sekali kan? Rugila mai jauh2 tapi xmakan.. So meh kita tgk apa yg ado..



This is my favourite starter.. Wajib order tiap kali pi.. Tapi apakenamanya i lupa.. Its basically potatoes with slices of beef bacon, drizzled with EVO. Sedap! Sedap! Sedap!



We tried their satay the other day. Mmg mantop, mmg sedap, mmg meletops. The meat is sweet n juicy pahtu tengokla the size of the sate.. Gabak-gabak! Pueh hati makan.. Kuah kacang pun not bad, cuma its quite hot for me (i cant eat hot food anymore.., sob sob). Tp yg epic fail this time is the nasik impit (JJ calls it squashed rice).. rasa macam air.. I think they made a lot of nasik impit then they freeze it. Bila org order dia defrost n serve. Masa makan tu rasa macam u are sucking a rice-flavoured ice cube. Yuck!



JJ's rump steak. Tengoklah betapa tebalnya daging tu.. Memang maveles.. He prefers his steak to be medium raw n the chef always cooks it to perfection. That is the reason why we keep coming back!



Aritu i ordered seafood linguini.. Lepas ni tobat dah xmo order lagi. I was struggling to finish it! Or maybe i was already full from the potatoes n satay.., This dish was wayyy too tomatoey for me. Rasa macam makan crushed tomatoes yg dalam can tu pulak.. The good thing about it is they use fresh seafood. I mean some shops would serve you frozen prawns and calamaris tp ni fresh prawn, cuma i rasa the scallops tu tak berapa nak fresh. Mungkin sebab tu i tak bleh nak pi kot..

Overall, i give Meatworks Citta Mall the following marks:
Ambiance: 8/10
Food: 7/10 (sbb too tomatoey)
Price: reasonable
Service: 9/19

Tentang masterchef selebriti season 2

Assalamualaikum
Malam ni i layan Masterchef Selebriti Season 2.. I saw the first season.., most of the time thru utube sebab selalu berebut channel dgn JJ.. sebagai isteri yang mithali i selalu mengalah (sbb i tau i buleh tgk lam utube.. hahahah) Kebetulan malam ni JJ tidoq awai sebab dia kepenatan memunggah bilik stor kami (dah setahun pindah baru nak punggah.. why? i took out the things i need when i needed them.., kalau tak perlu, diamlah kamu di dalam kotak wahai egg beater ku..) so anyway.. since he's asleep i get to watch whatever show i want on the telly.. I've always enjoyed watching cooking shows., not that i'm a good cook but i'm always amused at how easy everything is but bila nak try sendiri pasaipa tak jadik macam dlm tibi tu hah? Sebagaimana kagumnya i dengan Akak LG, Dr Lurpak dengan Kak Piah dolly-molly yg meletop-letops masakan dorang.. kagum jugak dengan adik i Kapten hensem dengan housemate nya yg dalam diam2 pandai masak dan pandai makan rupanya..

Ok, sila stop merapu.. i sebenonye nak cakap yg i sangat2 rasa tidak equip tentang pengetahuan am selebriti-selebriti di malaysia ini. not to show off that i know all the mat sallehs (which i don't) tapi mmg i fail (F9) kalau ditanya pasal retis2 malaya.. malu tak? malu woo.. retis negara sendiri pun tak kenal.. Tambah memalukan lagi bila i tak kenal more than half of the contestants in this seasons' masterchef.. how?? kawan2 duk sibuk dlm pesbuk.. wow.. che ta dengan zain masuk sesama, sangat sweet loving couple bla bla bla.. i was like.. who is this che ta? who is this zain? apa correlation antara mereka? another fren of mine suggested to google all these contestant.. tak kuasalah aku.. baik i google carik resepi nak buat mee goreng tak pedas.. ada gak pekdahnya..

So, anyway.. these are the contestants this season..

8 out of 19?? Tak sampai separuh pun.. Hypothesis null nih.. OMG!! Where have I been all these years? I came back to malaya in 2010.. rasa2nya dorang2 ni dah tentu famous amos kan sebab kalau tak mcm mana buleh digelar selebriti kan? Malunya.. malunya... (larik nyorok bawah ketiak si fatty)

Tentang parking depan rumah

Assalamualaikum
Pernah tak korang hadapi situasi ni?
1) Korang keluar rumah gi opis ke pasar ke supermarket ke, tetiba bila korang sampai rumah u cant drive into your car porch sebab ada org block depan pagar korang?
2) Korang nak keluar rumah gi opis, pasar, supermarket but cant drive out of your porch sebab ada org block depan pagar korang?
It happened to me A LOT of times!

Masa memula pindah sini, kawan2 anak jiran sebelah kiri memang hobi parking depan pagar rumah i.., banyak kali dibuatnya dan selalu i cakap elok2. Alhamdulillah skrg ni dia dah reti dan kalau dtg pun dia akan gigih panjat atas side table depan rumah org sebelah. Petang tadi masa balik opis jadi lagik. Tetamu kpd jiran sebelah kiri jugak. Dia perasan bontot keta wira dia pendek cam bontot keta myvi agaknya., elok je dia tertonggeng depan pagar rumah i. So i pinpon sekali, takde org kuar.. I pinpon lagi sekali.. Maka muncullah tuan punye keta bertudung labuh dgn 2 org anaknya, sorg pakai baju sekolah bertudung labuh jugak. I pun senyum kat dia dan ready nak turunkan tingkap nak kata thank you ke apa ke., sekali dia tengok i and jegilkan mata.. Amboi! You are parked right in front of my house, blocking my gate and u dare to look at me like that? Terkedu sekejap.., xsempat i nak buat apa2 dia cepat2 masuk dlm keta n blah. Bukanlah i pinpon kuat2 pun.. Pinpon secara terhormat sbb i tau ni housing area, apake gila nak pinpon kuat2 mcm tengah jln raya.. Bila masuk dlm rumah, JJ tegur.. "Babe, don't make any enemies".. So i said, i'm not trying to make enemies or to create trouble.., i have every right to pinpon secara terhormat as they're parked right in front of our gate! Plus, i smiled at them and they just starred at me like i'm an alien from pluto! Grrrrrrrr.....

Di Terengganu lagi best.. Depan rumah bonda ada satu longkang besar yg amat yg kononnya dibina untuk mengelakkan kebanjiran berlaku di kawasan tersebut (i beg to differ sbb every monsoon season bonda have to clear downstairs, roll the carpets, tie up the curtains and keep everything off the floor due to the flood).. So kiranya nak masuk ke dlm porch and our front door tu ada la sedikit jembatan yg agak besar. Masa ayahanda renovate rumah aritu dia pun buatlah jambatan tu cantik sikit.. Cantik mendenya.. Cuma dia letak tiles yg macam batu kecik2 tu instead of just plain ol' cement rendered. Just to match the tiles inside the porch. This one time, bonda keluar gi beli ikan and when she came back she was surprised to see a car parked nicely on our bridge., right in front our front gate. Bonda pun hangen la.. Mcm mana dia nak masuk.., dgn ikan sayo segala dlm keta.. Nak masuk rumah sendiri pun tak boleh. She ended up going to our front neighbor's house and asked for a piece of paper n a pen. She then wrote a note something like "Assalamualaikum, terima kasih sebab parking depan pagar rumah saya tanpa izin saya.. Anda seorang yang cukup bermoral" pastu bonda pi letak kat windscreen kereta tersebut. After about half an hour, keta tu pun blah n bonda pun dpt masuk dlm rumah dgn aman damai.

A few weeks later bonda was told by another neighbor that the car belongs to the pengerusi JKKKkKkKK of our area and that pengerusi mengirimkan maaf buat bonda sambil berkata "jambatan u tu cantik sangat..". Waddehel?? Eh sukati kitorg la kitorg nak jambatan kitorg tu cantik ke buruk ke.., bukan mintak duit ko atau pinjam duit JKKKkK kampung pun masa buat jembatan tu aritu.. One more thing, besar sgt ke jawatan dia sebagai JKkKkKK kampung tu yg sampai she gets to park her car anywhere she wishes? Bonda said, kalau Dato MB sekalipun yg parking depan pagar rumah i, i akan letakkan nota berhemah cenggitu jugak kat keta MB.. Takut apa, rumah kita kan.. Kita yg bayo cukai pintu, cukai tanah tiap2 tahun, bukan mintak duit MB pong!... Bonda i memang funny-funny...

Tapi itulah kan.. Sungguh i tak faham sikap org kita yg cukup minat parking keta blocking rumah org.. Padahal ada je space sebesar2 alam kat depan tu utk park keta.. Ni semua sebab malas nak jalan jauh2 kalau gi mana2. Macam parking keta kat tesco, semua berebut nak parking paling dekat dgn pintu. Padahal banyak je parking tempat lain.. Bukannya jauh sgt dan bukannya kena jimbit brg2 shopping semua berjalan gi kat keta.. Boleh je tolak trolley tu sampai kereta.. JJ was saying the other day that perhaps tesco should have a drive-in service since malaysians like to park as close as possible to the mall entrances.. Alang2, bawak masuk terus keta dlm kedai., then all the items are displayed at the same height as the driver., the driver only have to pick the items that he needs, buh dlm keta and remain in the car until checkout. Make sure every item is barcoded in case people run away without paying, kalau ada yg cuba2 larik akan ada alarm bunyik beep beep beep pahtu ada 'tangan' besar yg akan pegang tayar keta tak kasik bergerak keluar...
Amboi imaginasi... Too much cartoon lah ni...

Tentang booking tiket wayang

Assalamualaikum..
Booking tiket wayang pun nak kecoh ke? Tahpape tah.. Yelah.. Org lain dah biasa booking online, android, apple apps semua.. I baru je nak testing buat for the very first time.. So agak jakun la jugak sikit kan.. Lagipun i kan mmg selalu lambat pick-up benda2 yg 'in' skrg ni kan.. Kenapa baru skrg i terjerumus dgn pengebookingan tiket wayang menggunakan apple apps nih? Banyak sebab2nya..

1) dulu kami duk di ceruk changloon yg jaraknya dgn pawagam yg ado online booking adalah lebih kurang 2 jam, itupun kalau tak jem.. Jem kalu? Thus it is better to queue up n buy the tickets at the theatre itself
2) we're more comfortable watching movies at home slouched on our couch; me with a bowl of kotiau goreng and JJ with a plate of steak n eggs.. Kat movie theatre ado ke serve kotiau steak segala? Takde woo.. (Tapi popcorn panggung wayang mmg best in the world!!)
3) JJ malas nak bwk i kuar tgk wayang sbb i'm allergic to aircond and dark places.. Allergic mende? I fall asleep easily!! Hahahaahah... Adoyai.. Teringat masa zaman2 single dulu i adalah penonton wayang yg tegar.. Tiap2 mlm tgk wayang pun boleh.. Midnite semua.. No problem.. Rasanya kalau TGV KLCC tu ada frequent movie-goer card confirm dah beribu points i.. Tp itu dulu.. Skrg ni xtau nape.. Abis sebucket popcorn, mesti i tido.. So selalu miss the middle part of the movie.. So i tgk masa mula2 dan masa ending., tgh2 xtau apa jadi.. Kalau tanya JJ mesti dia bengang.. Last year we went and saw Avengers 3D gold class and paid nearly 70ringgits for our tickets pun i bleh bantai tido.. JJ said rugi je bayo mahal2, i tido.. Hahahaah.. Kesian suami i...
4) saja nak try online booking pakai GSC apple apps yg very-the-easy-to-use.. I tried online booking but somehow i did not see the link to purchase movie tickets on their website.. Kot i terlepas pandang xtaula kan.. Tp guna apps ni pun sebenonye sgt senang.. How to book GSC movie tickets using iphone -- just follow the steps and u'll be all good.. I'm also very happy to report that the apps is oh-so-user-friendly.. Very straight forward i tell you.. Lepas dah buat payment via maybank2u ke, paypal ke rhb ke., akan keluar confirmation with a barcode like this..


Kami tgk di Amanjaya Mall SP, yg ada kemudahan barcode scanning tp being the risk adverse person that i am, i pi jugak amik printed ticket dkt counter sbb takut tak ingat seat nombor berapa sbb dkt confirmation mcm yg atas ni takdo plak nombor seatnya.. Kalau confirm ingat seating, u just have to wave/scan this barcode dkt gate mcm gate masukkan tiket nak naik lrt tuh.. Since i've already picked up our tickets, the machine said to me "you have collected your tickets from the box office at 5.15pm" gitu.. wah, tabley nak tipu langsung! Then masuk kutip 3D glasses (kalu layan 3D la kan).. Its as easy as that!!
Ok, movie review plak.. GI Joe Retaliation.. Mmg best meletop-letop citer nih.. Lebih2 lagi sbb abg hensem meleleh dwayne johnson aka the rock tu ada sama.. itula sbb utama i insist on watching this movie, lagipun JJ mmg favourite la sangat cite tembak2 letop2 bertumbuk gedebuk gedebak ni semua.. Tp sayangnya the 3D version does not do it any justice sebab gambo mcm distorted bila di 3Dkan.. Nevertheless, byk gak part2 yg rasa mcm the bullet or the chopper is flying right at you! Rasanya 2D version lagi better kot.. But guess what? I fell asleep once my bucket of popcorn is finished..
